Beer porridge is a Dutch dish which is simple to make. Despite the name, it is often served as a drink. Here is the recipe:
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup dark beer
1 tablespoon sugar
Bring two cups of milk to a simmer.
Dissolve the flour in two tablespoons of milk.
Add to the warm milk.
Bring the milk to a boil and stir until the mixture thickens.
Lower the heat and stir in the sugar and beer.
Mix well and cook a minute longer.
Serve warm in mugs or bowls.
