Hungarian apple soup is tasty and easy to prepare. It can be eaten either hot or cold. Here is the recipe:
4 cups apples, cubed
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
3 cups water
pinch of salt
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Heat the apples, butter, sugar, cinnamon and cloves.
Add water and boil for 10 minutes.
Add salt.
Mix sour cream, flour and water in a bowl until creamy.
Add to soup and bring to a slow boil.
Remove from heat.
Add lemon juice.
This soup can be served hot or cold. Enjoy!
